Dr. Rodriguez joined the Groton-Dunstable Regional School District in June. Prior to joining GDRSD, she served as an Assistant Superintendent, Director of Curriculum, Principal, Assistant Principal, Curriculum Coordinator, Adjunct Professor, and Classroom Teacher in local Massachusetts schools and districts. Dr. Rodriguez received a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Boston College, a M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from Gordon College, and a B.S. in Secondary English Education from Boston University. Among her accomplishments, Dr. Rodriguez published Practitioners' Perceptions on the Benefits of Principal Mentoring Programs in Massachusetts Public Elementary Schools in 2006 and is the recipient of the Ansin Intercultural Research Award from Boston University.
Dr. Rodriguez currently serves on the board of the Valley Collaborative and is an active member of the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents. She was a member of the state educator evaluation SMART goal exemplar development group, served on the Northeast Regional Readiness Center Advisory Council, served as a DESE Board Panelist on educator evaluation, was selected as a state reviewer for online learning institutions, participated in an advisory group for the review of the Salem State University Graduate Education programs, was a member of a stakeholder group for a state committee on the development and dissemination of new professional development standards, and served as a curriculum advisor for a non-profit school for gifted students.
Dr. Rodriguez has been a local and national presenter focusing on leadership and learning for the past 15 years. For example, she has also been a featured speaker for the Massachusetts Association for School Business Officials, the Center for Applied Special Technology, The Blue Ribbon Institute, The Orange County Department of Education, the National Association of Elementary School Principals, The Title I Dissemination Project, and presented to faculty at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Gordon College, and Midddlesex Community College. In addition, she has presented at MASS or MASC conferences and workshops on educator evaluation, PARCC, and professional development best practices. Dr. Rodriguez has served as a presenter for the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education at state conferences on professional development, educator evaluation, and common core implementation.
